Final qualifying round of NZ Hillclimb Champs complete

This past weekend the South Otago Car Club hosted the second South Island Qualifying Round of the Motorsport New Zealand Goldstar Hillclimb Championship. The two events were held around the Lawrence region, with Saturday’s Gravel event on Burma Road and Sunday’s Seal event on Taupeka West Road. A big thanks to the South Otago Car Club and all the volunteers that made the weekend possible.
Richard Bateman and Steve Cattermole travelled from Blenheim to compete, and both enjoyed the weekend and scored valuable Championship points.
With the qualifying events now complete, the points leading into the championship final are shaping up for some close competition. The finale will be held in Pukekohe on the 15th-16th of February.
